Buck
(Sweet Pea) Robinson
Buck is the last remaining member of James'
original line-up. Sharing the spotlight with James for nearly
15 years, Buck came to the group as an accomplished musician.
Buck's roots are in playing the upright bass in a Bluegrass band.
His love of the Blues prompted him to devote his talents to this
genre. His style is smooth and groovin' until you hit those swingin'
tunes. That's when Sweet Pea turns it into a fast-paced, slappin'
good time.
Pete Muszkiewcz
Pete is the newest member of the group. While studying
for a degree in music, Pete was asked to be a fill-in drummer when the
regular drummer could not perform. This lead to a permanent assignment.
Pete has been playing drums since he was a young boy. He can keep a
steady beat that makes dancing to this band's music a pure pleasure.
(Sawdust is a reference to what's left of his sticks at the end of the
night).
Paul
Hauschild
Paul Hauschild - Hammond B2 organ, sometimes guitar
and vocals.Paul performs as a member of the James Reeser's Hot Quartet
with his 1952 Hammond B2 and Leslie.Paul's
Hammond Organ influences include the incredible Jimmy Smith,
Brother Jack McDuff, Larry Young and local great Jim Alfredson of
Organissimo.
Troy
Amaro
Troy Amaro has played music for the last 20 years
in various stints with both Blues and Jazz groups. With the music of
Little Walter being (and still) the reason Troy was drawn to the Blues,
he continues to be influenced by both past and modern players who’s
main focus is to maintain the real, original, raw, authentic Blues he
loves. Troy considers a player’s sound and tone to be just as
important as his musical ability and therefore uses only guitars and
amps (Victoria Amps, Don Mare pickups) that replicate the 1940’s
and 1950’s sounds from the golden era of Blues. Current and past
musical and tone influences include, Pee Wee Crayton, T-Bone Walker,
Willie Johnson, Luther Tucker, Hollywood Fats, Kid Ramos, Junior Watson
and many others.
